No one likes to do dishes by hand. One of the best items in your kitchen is your dishwasher. When something goes wrong, it could seem like the end of the world. Have no fear, Appliance Factory Parts are here! This list can help you fix small issues yourself by replacing or cleaning different parts.
1. Dishwasher won't drain
Check the drain hoses, clamps and power supply. Also, check the bottom area inside your dishwasher. There could be something blocking in these sections such as food scraps. These items could just be dirty and need to be cleaned, or the items need to be replaced.
2. Dishwasher is noisy
If you hear thumping sounds, grinding noises, or any other abnormal sounds from your dishwasher, it could be time to investigate. There could be a defective part that may need to be replaced including the wash arm seal, wash pump motor, or the bearing ring. Call Appliance Factory Parts to help distinguish what part it could be.
3. Dishwasher doesn’t clean well
The most common issue is that there is mineral buildup from hard water. This can leave white spots on your dishes. Use hard water cleaner every couple of months to have less mineral deposits. Other issues could be that there are problems with your sprayer arms, strain screen, door gasket or other part issues. Have a look at these parts to see if they are worn out or if there are any damages.
4. The inside of the dishwasher has a bad odor
This could be a sign that you need to clean or replace the filter at the bottom of your dishwasher. You may also need to clean your machine. Run your dishwasher on an empty cycle with Dishwasher Magic. This should take out the odors.
5. Dishwasher has small leaks
This could be a sign that you have a defective pump or there are issues with the door seals. Check these thoroughly for any issues. If you are still having trouble, it could be a bigger issue. If this is the case, contact Brand Source Appliance Repair & Home Remodeling.
